Cheshire Wedding

Who’s my ideal client?

It’s a two way thing this wedding photography thing

I know, I know, the internet is fully geared towards finding an ideal photographer and so you should.  You’ve got to feel like you 100% trust whoever it is you hand your money over to, you’ve got to fully believe that person is going to do your big day the justice it deserves - I get that, I really do.

Here’s the thing (from my perspective), and feel free to disengage now if you’re not with me on this.

You’ve got to be right for me too, yes you read that right, if you’re not the right couple, then you won’t get my best.  I’m not here just for your money, although of course I need it to eat (to buy food to eat, not eat the money) so if you’re a pair of miserable gits, or I get a vibe we’re not going to get on, then there’s no easy way to say this - I’ll not be shooting your wedding, sorry - no amount of money will change that either I’m afraid.

It was a bee, not a crappy posed picture...

Wedding Photography - I don’t photograph weddings for everyone

Am I a millionaire who does this for fun, who can afford to laugh in the face of cold hard cash?  Nope, I’m no Bruce Wayne playing photographic batman.  What I am though is a photographer, a people person and someone who very much likes what I do (because I make sure the people I do it for are the right people for me), yes you heard it right, I want to have a good time too.  I shoot around 25 weddings max a year and I really really really want to enjoy each and every one of them.  I guess this is a two way selection process, you’re deciding if you like me, I’m deciding if I like you too.

So my ideal couples are something like this....you’re fun (you don’t have to be clowns, just not miserable), you like each other a lot (you’re not just getting married for money, or because you feel you have to, you actually really want to), your circle of friends are nice normal people and a bit of a hoot - nutcase family members a bonus.

Ideally you are happy to go with the flow (at the very least you’re not a massive control freak who’ll bark orders at me all day - if you lie about this and you end up doing it I will take pictures of your feet for the rest of the day), you don't have to be an out and out "wayhey look at us aren't we cool" couple - just genuine and in love, you’re ideally fun to be around or nice at least (I’ve said this already but it is rather important)

I don't care where you’re getting married - a shed, cave, tent, on top of a mountain, in the woods or wherever - weddings are about people, not places.  I’ve photographed in a ridiculously diverse set of locations, from gardens to castles blah blah blah - people matter to me, my photography is all about the story of you.

So if you’re still here, congrats - you’re either extremely bored or actually want someone to tell your wedding story honestly, next step - get in touch, let’s talk pictures. 🤘
