Relaxed Documentary wedding photographer based in Cheshire 

I know, I know...I bang on about it an awful lot but I really can’t overemphasise the importance of approach, a relaxed approach to wedding pictures (coupled with not acting like a wedding photographer).

With the whole ‘Documentary’ thing being so trendy there comes the increasing numbers of people who just don’t get it, it’s often just a word to be used rather than a way of working and photographing a wedding.

The simplest way to identify true Documentary is to ask yourself ‘do these people look really relaxed?’ ‘Are they doing something that isn’t just eating crisps?’, ‘do you get a sense of being some kind of weird observer in the behaviour of people?’ If you do then you’re on the right track.   

People being people without actually being subjects in a photo shoot, a sense of involvement in the pictures.  That’s the tip of the iceberg with Documentary Photography.  

Mostly though, it’s about how great your wedding was and the things you’ll remember
