BORGO COLOGNOLA WEDDING DAY | UMBRIA, ITALY

Hannah booked me based on seeing a friends wedding pictures, we never actually met prior to actually meeting during her wedding week in Italy. Hannah & Kevin live in Australia, I live in the UK and their wedding was in Italy - logistically there was no way of meeting up beforehand!

Being chosen as a wedding photographer based on seeing a friends full wedding gallery is often how I receive the majority of my bookings, for me it’s great as couples know exactly the quality of images they will receive throughout their entire wedding gallery, rather than simply taking a bit of a gamble with a few carefully selected blog images.

The wedding was incredible, beautiful and rustic, amazingly relaxed and the location was absolutely perfect. Family and friends flew in from all over the world, Australia, Ireland, the UK, America to name a few - it was a great group of friends together in the perfect setting and really was the most wonderful of celebrations to be part of.

Borgo Cogonola is set in the most beautiful part of Italy, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, completely remote and away from the hustle and bustle of life, idyllic and romantic it really is a perfect setting for a wedding.

I photographed Helen & Kevin’s wedding in my usual style, which focuses on people and emotion rather than poses and things on tables. I love nothing more than telling an honest story of a wedding that is completely personal for each and every couple, little things they’ll remember from their day, unique thngs that are relevant to them, there aren’t really any ‘please everyone’ pictures in my portfolio and that’s very much intentional - I really don’t want to give people generic wedding pictures, I want to give them a story, a real set of memories from their day that they’ll treasure forever. Smiles that reach people’s eyes, big laughs and genuine moments…that’s what I look for. Nothing staged, nothing forced, nothing contrived - not for me thank you!
