Top wedding venues in Manchester
The ‘best wedding venues in Manchester’, it’s a subjective topic and hands up I’m not any kind of venue reviewer, what I have done though is photograph a shit load of weddings in and around Manchester. I’ve spent all day and night at a heck of a lot of wedding venues and I’ve seen how good they are, how bad some are, how friendly and efficient the staff are, what the foods like and what the vibe is like, basically all the important stuff that you should think about when selecting your perfect wedding spot in our pretty amazing city - so yeah I guess I could be considered a bit of an expert.
King Street Townhouse : A cracking venue located on King Street with fantastic views over Manchester. Lovely staff, great food!
Victoria Warehouse: It’s a warehouse and it’s Victorian. Really it’s cool as fuck, it’s somewhere you just have to go to in order to appreciate. Has a cool kind of vibe about it, ‘authentic’ if that’s a relevant word.
Albert Hall : Laaaa deeee daaaaaa Albert Hall is one of the swankiest venues in Manchester. Only the best for you? Try here. (Not related to Uncle Albert). Food ohhhhh yes it’s bloody amazing!
The Deaf Institute : Bespoke weddings for music lovers, a place for people who want a party to remember. I love this place. Cool staff, cool vibe, make sure you hire a decent band too!
Victoria Baths : Getting married in a swimming pool - weird. Actually it’s not, this place is stunning, individual and somewhere your married mates will say “Shit we wish we got married here”, make your friends jealous and have a great wedding all in one go.
Hallé St. Peter's : Originally a church, now a wedding venue after a multi-million £ refurb. It’s impressive, luxurious and really rather nice.
Didsbury House Hotel : An old Victorian townhouse located in Didsbury. Exclusive use of this rather wonderful venue with its own lovely grounds make this a great choice for small or large weddings alike.
The Monastery : Ooooffffffff this place is special, walk in and you’ll be like WOW. Websites a bit cheesy but the place itself is brill. Cool staff too, I like this place a lot.
St James’s Club : A grade 2 listed building on Spring Gardens, St James’s club is one of Manchester’s premier wedding venues. I can barely remember having some great parties here, 100% one to think about!
Manchester Art Gallery : It’s cool, it’s full of art, it’s cool. Party in the glass atrium. Did I mention it’s cool? Who wouldn’t want to get married in an art gallery????
I’m not affiliated with any of these venues so these are my own personal opinions, not paid ones. If you’re planning a wedding in Manchester or around the Manchester / North West area it’s worth having a nosey at these gems, they all have something special to offer and there’s something for everyone (I hope, unless you’re into some really weird shit then please feel free to tell me to up my wedding venue recommendation game).
* Oh, and obviously if you’re in the market for a photographer have a nosey at my portfolio.
