Villa Passalacqua Wedding, Lake Como, Italy

VILLA PASSALACQUA WEDDING | LAKE COMO, ITALY

I still remember when Madeline called me from Italy, I’d literally just posted a slidehow on Facebook 10 minutes before and I got this rather excited “I’ve just seen your slideshow, looked at your website, shown it to my Mum and I want you to shoot my wedding sorry if I’m not making sense I’m just making chicken, oh I’m in Italy, you do cover Italy I hope?, and it’s for a week, we’re having a few parties, we’re flying to Manchester can we meet up and talk about it?”

I instantly liked Madeline, I had a good feeling about her, we got on instantly. Same for Rory, her husband to be when we all met up, although he was slightly hung over from what I gather was a rather epic house party the night before.

Anyway, fast-forward to Como, the wedding. Incredible, fun, party hard in the evening (and the Lido party a couple of days later - holy fuck, I’d never seen a party like it, those guys are crazy!). Needless to say I had an amazing time!

I can sense I’m waffling so I’ll move this along quickly, there’s a slidshow below, please take a few minutes to take a look.

VILLA PIZZO, LAKE COMO WEDDING | THE SLIDESHOW

You can see Madeline & Rory’s Villa Passalacqua slideshow below.

It’s a much better experience to watch it on a laptop or tablet with the sound turned up and in full screen mode.

A GORGEOUS ELEGANT WEDDING ON THE SHORE OF LAKE COMO.

The morning started at Villa Passalacqua in Moltrasio, a most glorious luxury villa dating back to 1700 and home to Winston Churchill and Napoleon Bonaparte to name a few (not at the same time). Anyway, this place is the nuts, epic views over Como Lake, incredible gardens, huge and luxurious - basically it’s ideal for a wedding, and what a wedding it was!!

I spent a week with Madeline, Rory and their families and friends and loved every second of it. Warm and welcoming, great fun and totally chilled out, they’re all my kind of people.

The day was incredible, a beautiful ceremony at Madeline & Rory’s local Catholic church, a short (and rather speedy) speedboat ride to the villa, some very snappy group pictures, live music, a cracking party and a whole load of fun was had by everyone.

Here are a few photos from their wonderful wedding day, everything was photographed in my usual fuss free, unposed and relaxed style. The last thing I ever wish to do is take couples away from the enjoyment of their day, so unless asked specifically I never stage, pose or set up images - and none of that happened on these images, everything is just as it happens. I hope you enjoy!

*Tip - if you click on the first image you get to see them in all their hi-resolution glory (they look bigger and better)

So there we go, I hope you enjoyed the slideshow and small selection of images from Madeline & Rory’s amazing Lake Como Wedding. If you would love this Manchester based wedding photographer at your wedding, please get in touch via my contact form.
