A lovely Cheshire Wedding Venue
Getting to photograph on my doorstep is quite a rarity, usually I’m travelling all over the UK, so I was quite chuffed to be shooting for the first time at Heaton House Farm - a very popular (and lovely) wedding venue in Cheshire.
A warm welcome
The first thing that struck me about this place was just how warm the welcome was, everyone was so lovely! It’s nice turning up at a wedding venue at 7 in the morning and being offered a brew pretty much straight away - off to a good start in my books!
While I waited for Abby to arrive I had a very quick look around and immediately had a great feeling about the place, loads of space, a great set up that would allow a wedding day to flow, brilliant communal areas and it looked so nice. As a documentary wedding photographer I’m not really fussed about the ‘spots for pictures’ because my couples simply get on with their day and I photograph it as it happens, it’s a much more natural and organic approach that allows everyone to fully relax and enjoy the wedding day.

Anyway, I guess enough waffle, the wedding pictures are what’s important. Before we delve in I have to say I absolutely loved this wedding day, there was so much fun and excitement throughout the whole thing, everyone accepted me as part of the family and Abby & Tony made sure the entire day was just how they wanted it - no stress, no fuss, just a pure celebration.
Here’s some pictures of their wedding day, there’s a slideshow first so turn the volume up and press play. The pictures are below the slideshow if you wanted a more leisurely look at them.
