Uk Documentary Wedding Photographer - Personal faves #3 of 100

Cheshire based Documentary Wedding Photographer

I’m based in Cheshire because that’s where I live (master of stating the obvious me), anyway I’d say around 23.78% of my weddings are actually photographed in Cheshire and the surrounding area (North West), for the rest I get to see the rest of either this country, Europe or somewhere else on the planet (it’s a hard life honest)

This particular picture is from Cambridgeshire, Bourn in fact.

Number 3 is from the amazingly relaxed wedding of Helen & Tris, everything was within walking distance in Bourn and they were sooooo chilled out, an absolute pleasure to be around.  (Nice sausage butties from Dad in the morning too).

This picture was taken at Manor Farm wedding venue in Borne (the great barn), can’t tell you how amazing this place looks and how relaxed the whole vibe is, Helen & Tris put together most of the weddingy stuff themselves, the table the cake is on was actually made by Tris the night before !

Anyway, this isn’t my picture, it’s from my awesome second shooter on the day Wayne La (A London based street / wedding photographer) - if I use second shooters I only use world class photographers (no lemons at my weddings thank you) and Wayne is one of those street shooters who is actually really rather good at this genre, he brings a street perspective to weddings that matches my style perfectly.  As primary photographers I don’t think we give props enough to some of our seconds, so here’s props to WL 🤘

I love this picture because it’s just one of those ‘in the moment’ full of stuff images, with great layers (something Wayne is a master of) and it just makes me smile.

It also emphasises just how important having a quality second shooter is.  2 photographers aren’t always better than one, certainly if the claimed approach is Documentary, but having a top class second shooter who understands and complements the primary photographers style and approach gets you pictures like this 💥
