Hamps Hall & Barn Wedding Photographer | A Peak District Wedding
Hamps Hall & Barn is a top wedding reception venue, there’s oodles of space for your big day and it’s in a great part of The Peak District. Kjella and Tim chose Hamps Hall for all of these qualities…and the fact it’s a brilliant place for a huge party, can sleep a whole load of your wedding guests and you can have it exclusively all weekend - woohoo party anyone?
Catering options are brilliant too, you can hire in a caterer or use the ample kitchens and cater yourself if you want, Kjella and Tim did this and supplemented their friends cooking with a BBQ ran by the local pub.
Now although Hamps Hall & Barn doesn’t have a wedding licence you can still have a humanist ceremony there or choose to get married at any number of locations close by then come back and have a fantastic party afterwards.
This was a full on DIY wedding, we all turned up the day before and helped set up the marquee, tables and everything else, it was great and I loved the fact I could pitch in, feel like one of the guests and really get to know everyone the day before. We finished the day off with a fair few drinks in the local pub in the evening.
Peak District Wedding Photographer
I’m actually a Manchester Wedding Photographer, a documentary wedding photographer to be precise but do travel throughout the UK & Europe, so for this particular marquee wedding in the Peak District I put on my Peak District Wedding Photographer hat (I don’t own a hat and really it doesn’t matter where I shoot to be honest), anyway for this particular Summer Wedding I spend a couple of nights partying with the gang and here are some images from their rather fun DIY wedding in The Peak District. In total, I delivered over 800 wedding pictures, so this really is a very small selection, I hope they convey the feel of the day, if you would like to see more images please feel free to ask, they’re all as good as this ;)
Documentary Wedding Photography at Hamps Hall & Barn
Kjella & Tim choose me specifically for my relaxed approach and in the moment images, they wanted nothing posed or staged, preferring to spend their time enjoying their wedding with friends and family. So nothing you see here has been staged or set up, that’s the beauty of 9 years experience as a specialist documentary wedding photographer, I don’t need to ask people to ‘pretend’ to do something, I see everything and photograph a wedding day without any kind of intrusion or awkwardness. For me the documentary wedding photographer approach gives couples a set of images they can really relate to, they have experienced the moments in the pictures and the emotions attached to them are so much stronger and relevant for it.
I hope you enjoy this selection of images, we all had a great time as you can see. If you want a relaxed wedding photographer for your wedding I’d love to hear from you.
